Understanding Highly contraversial topics

Biblical Topics

Many topics have become highly contraversial amoung christians. Thousands of versions of Christianity have emerged over the last 2000 years. Warped versions of the truth have been solely responsible for the birth of athiesm and evolution as an alternative to having to believe in the tyranical God protrayed by most christians.

A majority of people today resign to a stance that whatever you believe is fine to avoid right fighting. Although this seems like the ultimate form of open mindedness, it normally leads to close minded thinking. A convenient defense against anything we don't want to believe. And worst of all, a rejection to the possibility that what we are hearing or learning might just be the ultimate truth.

Jesus said that He alone was to be called "Teacher." Saddly how few of us allow Jesus alone to teach us wrather than beiing influenced by pastors, friend, family members, and popular religious authors. Jesus is the "word" and "truth" and provides us with a "helper" that will "lead us into all truth." The reason Jesus is truely the only one worthy of the title "Teacher" is because not only does He teach truth, but teaches us in such a way that we are empowered to follow the truth.

The trusting of human authorities to determine truth derailed Christianity since the very beginning. Today many churches actually openly believe that only church superiors are capeable of teaching the masses. Many other churches partially close member's minds. Biases are made against certain ideas. Powerful leaders use statements like "some people actually believe...." and character assasinationis even used wrather than openly looking at scriptures vs scripture.

I invite you to read through these pages thoughtfully, and with a completely open mind. Look past the fact that I am not a scholar or an authority and focus on the verses and allow the Bible to speak for itself. Pray over the verses and rely only on the Spirit of truth to lead you through these difficult topics.
