the Abomination of Desolation
Daniel 7:9. And out of one of them came a little horn
which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward
the east, and toward the ²Glorious Land.
10. And it grew up to the host of heaven, and it cast
down some the host and some of the stars to the ground,
and trampled them.
11. He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of
the host; and by him, the Daily was taken away, and
the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
12. Because of transgression, an army was given over
to the horn to oppose the Daily; and he cast truth down
to the ground. He did all this and prospered.
30. For ships from Cyprus shall come against him; therefore
he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the
Holy covenant, and do damage. So he shall return and
show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant.
31. And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall
defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take
away the Daily, and place there the abomination of desolation.
32. Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall
corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their
God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
33. And those of the people who understand shall instruct
many; yet for many days they shall fall by the sword
and flame, by captivity and plundering.

34. Now when they fall they shall be aided with a little
help; but many shall join with them by intrugue.
35. And some of those of understanding shall fall, to
refine them, purge them, and make them white, until the
time of the end, because it is still for the appointed
time.
36. Then the king shall do according to his own will:
he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall
speak blashemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper
till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been
determined shall be done.
Mark 13:14. "But when you see the 'abomination
of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing
where it ought not" (let the reader understand),
"then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
15. "And let him who is on the housetop not go
down into the house, not enter to take anything out
of his house.
16. "And let him who is in the field not go back
to get his garment.
17. "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those
with nursing babies in those days!
18. "And pray that yrou flight may not be in winter.
19. "For in those days there will be tribulation,
such as has not been from the beginning of creation
which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.
20. "And unless the Lord had shortened those days,
no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom
he chose, He shortened the days.
Luke 21:20. "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded
by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
