Understanding the true meaning of the Law of God
INTRODUCTION
The Big Question About God's Law - Works vs. Grace
Here again is where we find the heart of the division between in the Christian world. Some 200 verses in the New testament stress the assurance of salvation and how it is a free gift and can't be earned. Then there are some 500 verses that stress the importance of obedience for those who are saved. In Matthew 16:27 Jesus declares that when He returns we will be judged how?
For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He shall reward each one according to his works.
As the result of this, 2 sides have emerged in Christianity. The conservatives and the liberals. The problem with both sides is that they don't care to harmonize these verses. And the sad result is that both sides miss out on experiencing the power of God that comes with obedience from faith. If you study this page thoroughly you will discover how to experience obedience that will lead to the ultimate freedom
Here is a list of the topics that will be covered on this page.

INTRODUCTION - 2 Camps of Belief
Since the rebellion in Heaven before our world was created, there have been 2 beliefs about the 10 commandments. Lucifer's desired to "exalt my throne above the stars of God." He wanted to reason truth to be whatever he wanted it to be. The Law of course was the focus of his rebellion. He believed God's Law to be unfair and unjust, and that there was no harm in breaking it, unless God punished us for doing so. He then deceived one third of the angels and then Eve with this same lie. It was not so much that Eve ate the fruit, but that she trusted her own reasoning. She "saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasing to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make wise," and saw no reason not to eat it. Conversely, God claims His Law is just, perfect and holy, and cannot be improved by "one jot or tittle." But saddly today most of the world has concluded that Lucifer was right and that we are better off to reason truth to be what is good for us. A modern day version of this same lie from Lucifer's arguement was reiterated by Aleister Crowley in 1904, when he channelled his his infamous "Book of the Law" containing the sacred text of Thelema, based on the dictum "Do What Thou Wilt Shall be the Whole of the Law." For the last century this message has been pumped relentlessly through the music and entertainment industry, as well as taking hold in most religions today including Christianity.
When Christians today quote the Bible and say:
"I am not under the Law, but under grace,"
"I keep the law in the spirit and not in the letter"
"I follow the law in my heart, not in the letter"
"I don't focus on works, I just focus on Jesus"
What exactly do they mean? There are only 2 possibilities.
Possibility 1)
-
God, through the power of His grace and spirit empowers us to keep the law in a way that is far deeper than we could keep on our own. When the Law is written on our hearts and we keep it out of true love, we keep it on a deeper level then we could ever do by following it by the letter. For example, if a women walks up to a man who is a perfect stranger and lists off 50 things she wants him to do for her, will he do them, and if so how well will he do them? If he does them at all it will be out of very strong will power. In a second scenario, if a man learn's from his wife over her lifetime 50 things she likes, how much better will he fulfill her demands than the man in scenario 1. The obvious conclusion is that through Love, the sprit, and Grace, the Law is kept far better than when it is kept by the letter.
Possibility 2)
-
being under grace and not the Law or the letter means the law is kept in an undefineable way. The most obvious difference is a literal 24 hours sabbath is not practiced. Focusing on Jesus means something different to each person, and we ought not to judge eachother as to how we keep the law.
The Problem
The problem with belief number 2 is that it is undistinguishable from Alisiter Crowley's belief, and sounds much like New age philosophy. Aleister Crowly inspired the idea that following your own heart will lead you to truth. How is this any different than the idea that following the law is determined by your own heart. New age spiritualists say they focus on love not sin, as summarized by the Beatles song "All you need is love." How is this any different then when Christian's say "I just focus on Jesus, not sin and Law," and exlaim that no one has the right to tell them what the Bible defines as sin.
Conclusion:
When the Right argues against the Left, they are both argueing against and reacting to beliefs that are equally wrong. If we want to learn truth we must stop focusing on what is wrong with the other side and pull the plank out of our own eye instead.
We are living in a very allarming era of time. The Bible warns of a time where "a great falling away" from the faith will come, and most Christians will follow the "son of lawlessness." That the beast kingdom who thought to "change times and laws" will re-emerge and be worhsipped by the whole world, especially Christians. Christianity will be in harmony with the beast which "has two horns like a lamb yet speaks like a dragon." and supports this beast.
And now in the very world we live in, most religions and Christians have empbraced Satan's view of God's Law be either not following it or by following it with senseless rigidity. Christians claim to believe in Jesus, the lamb, yet speak like satan, the dragon.
Overview of the Law
Is God's Law really worth debating? Is it a trivial Law that can be grouped on the level with the 603 laws writing in the Mosaic law? Can't we just separate it from the gospel and put an end to the controversy?
To answer this question, ask yourself another question. . . . Why did Jesus come to earth?
Not only did Isaiah prophecy the answer this question, but Jesus' confirmed it in His very first sermon to the masses...
The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness' sake; He will magnify the law, and make it honorable." Isaiah 42:21
______________________________________________________________________"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. Mat 5:17
Jesus came to magnify and fulfill the law. And to clear up any possible confusion on the meanings of these words, "magnify"[gaw-dal] means: advance, bring up, lift up, magnify, promote. While "fulfill" [play-ro-o'] means: complete, fully preach, perfect, verify. Jesus' life was the perfect expression of the Law. Humanity had continually gravitated to following it in ways that were limited to human thinking. Jesus taught and demonstrated how it was to be kept on a spiritual level.
But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Mat 5:28
But more confounding than His teachings and examples was when He revealed the ultimate expression of the Law in giving entirely of Himself on the cross.
And what about faith "the just shall live by faith alone,"
...does faith replace or contradict keeping the Law?
Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. Rom 3:31
Now most people approach this topic with unwarranted fear. Every verse which favors keeping God's Law is received like a death sentence being handed down by a judge. The truth is is that the Law of God is perfect and the key to everything we want in life. We only need to have the faith that God can empower us to keep it as He has promised us.
What is the key to wisdom?
Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
What is the key to happiness?
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law. Pro 29:18
What is the key to peace?
Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble. Psa 119:165
What is the key to being blessed?
Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O LORD, And teach out of Your law, Psa 94:12
What is the key to real wealth?
The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of coins of gold and silver.Psa 119:72
What is the key to Love?
Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."
I hope this has removed your bias against the Law.
How Long Has God's Law been in effect, and is it still in effect?
Sadly Christians often take the approach when considering this question, of requiring clear and simple evidence that the Law must be kept. Instead one would think that in order to justify willfully breaking God's Law we would need to find extremely strong scriptural support for such a claim.
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, Heb 10:26
One argument is that God's Law was a temporary law which was only given to the Jews, and was done away with at the cross..
A quick and profound answer to this is found in 1Jon 3:4
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 1Jn 3:4
Why is this such a profound answer? If the definition of "sin" is breaking the Law of God, then in order to know how long the 10 Commandments have existed we only need to know how long sin has been around...
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1Jn 3:8
This means that just because we have no record of God telling Adam and Eve about His Law, the mere fact that "sin" existed before them is evidence that the Law also had to exist.
So what about now? Does the Law still exist today? Well this is an easy question to answer. Does sin still exist today?
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1Jn 1:8
So sin clearly still exists today until the new covenant is completed with the marriage supper of the lamb.
Now is it a fair conclusion that the purpose of the Law is to essentially label or reveal what sin is?
13. (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. Rom 5
Here we see that sin cannot be counted as sin if there was no law, and yet Adam sinned, and sin and death reigned between Adam and Moses. For those who are looking for verses stating that God's Law was given before Moses, and is therefore a permanent Law, these are the verses..
Now on the flip side, what is "righteousness"?
"Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, Nor be afraid of their insults. Isa 51:7
Righteousness is equated with having the Law in your heart. Now did this change in the new covenant?
YOU HAVE LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS ANOINTED YOU WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS MORE THAN YOUR COMPANIONS." Heb 1:9
Here righteousness is considered the opposite of lawlessness. Wow! So again, every time we see the word righteousness used, which was used as far back as describing the life of Noah, all the way through the Bible to Revelation and the afterlife, we can conclude that the Law existed.
So then, if righteousness is spiritually keeping the Law, then what is the entire point of the Bible?
16. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17. that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2Ti 3
This is why those who believe the Law was done away with, or do not believe God requires us to keep it, have such a difficult time making any sense when reading the Bible. If the entire point of scripture is for instruction in righteousness, how confusing will the Bible be if you believe we don't need to be righteous? This belief makes is difficult for God to teach Christians to be wise and as a result they remain spiritual babes....
13. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
14. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Heb 5
Now my goal here is not to poke fun at different doctrine, but to help all Christians on a path to heaven. I believe God has shown me over and over that His Law is the backbone of the entire gospel..
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Rev 22:14
One last verse on this topic which must be added because of how incredibly profound it is...
11. For there is no partiality with God.
12. For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law
13. (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;
14. for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves,
15. who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) Rom 2
Do you see what this is saying? That people who have not even heard of the Law, can keep it through nature, and have it written on their hearts IF they allow their conscience accusing them wrather than to excusing their sinful actions.
This means that the mere existance of the conscience is evidence that the Law exists and is the supreme Law of heaven. Therefore as long as we have a conscience, the Law must therefore exist. And even more, that our very being and consciousness is completely intertwined with the Law, and therefore could not possibly be separated from our existance.
MOSAIC Law Vs. The TEN COMMANDMENTS
This section should not be necissary, yet it is because most Christians fail to take time to study the old testament and learn the difference between the 2 laws. If you are in the guilty party who hasn't taken the time, I have included a condensed study of the topic here.
Here is s list of the differences between the 2 laws.
Q: 10 Commandments were written by...
And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. Exo 31:18
A: The "finger of God."
Q: How did the Mosaic law come about?
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: 'You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. Exo 20:22
A: God talked to Moses from heaven.
Then Moses recited them to the Israelites..
So Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, "All the words which the LORD has said we will do." Exo 24:3
Then Moses wrote them down..
And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD. And he rose early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Exo 24:4
The first important difference is that the 10 Commandments were written by God while the Mosaic Law was written by Moses.
Next Question: Where were these Laws placed?
In reference to the 10 Commandments...
He took the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.
Exo 40:20
A: The 10 Commandments were placed IN the ark.
Q: Where then was the "book of the law" placed?
24. So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished,
26. "Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there as a witness against you; Deu 31
A: Beside the Ark
So in conclusion, how we know which law is being referred to in a particular New Testament verse, is this...
If the the law is referred to as the written law, book of the law, handwriting, or describes things related to feast days like food, sabbaths (plural, uncapitalized), and foreshadowing, we can be positive it is referring to the Mosaic law which the Bible says was nailed to the cross..
The 10 commandments is the only law which will be capitalized, but unfortunately will be uncapitalized most of the time. So this is not a reliable indication. The word commandments is unique to the 10 commandments, as well as the use of the unique laws in the 10 commandments, such as adultery, murder, etc.
There are many more verses to confirm this pattern, but to keep it short I will not be including them.
Law of PUNISHMENT or CONSEQUENCE?
The 10 Commandments have become very misunderstood by Christians. There are two common perception today. One is that if we break God's Law, He will find some way to punish us. The other belief is that we can break this Law with no consequence. The problem with both of these beliefs is that they make God, who states "the Law of God is perfect", to be a liar. For God to call his 10 Commandments Law, they must have inherent consequences built into them. God created all the laws of science, and all these Laws have consequences. Lets take some of the laws of thermodynamic for instance. If a child stuck there hand in a fire and was burnt, would a parent then come along and spank them to teach them? Of course not. There is no need. God's Law works in the same way. If we break it, there are consequences. Now what about those who believe you can break the Law without consequence? Would you stick your hand in fire right now and say "its ok, I'm under grace not the laws of thermodynamics?"
This topic is an effective way to evaluate your growth as a Christian. How do children perceive laws? According to Kohl berg's scale, they comprehend them in relation to punishment. For example, if a child goes to touch a burner on a stove, and their alert parent spanks their hand, the child merely perceives the punishment, but remains unable to comprehend why. When you are breaking the speed limit, are you more concerned about a speeding ticket or smashing your car? Now take this same principal with the Law of God. Are we thinking along the lines of punishment or consequence. Psalms says "the Law and the Statutes make the simple wise." Jesus said "truly I say to you, if you hate your brother, you are guilty of murder." Both these passages indicate to us that not only is God's Law consequential, but we are to understand the principals behind them, while not merely keeping them in the letter. In other words, we are to understand their consequential principals. God wants us to understand "why" to keep His Law. And what is the plural of "why?" ... wise. `
This point is extremely important, because if God's Law was not consequential, or perfectly related with all the laws of science, then Christianity would be just another senseless religion or system of beliefs. Take for example luck, superstitions and astrology. Clearly these beliefs have little or nothing to do with the laws of science. So you say, "of course, that's what religion is. " ABSOLUTELY NOT!! That's what false religion is. If your religious belief system is not in perfect accord with science, then it is nonsense because you are admitting that your god did not create the laws of science. And if your God did not create the laws of science, then he must be inferior to the God that did.
Jesus actually spent time teaching His disciples to let go of their punishment mentality. Take for example the story of the blind man. "Who sinned, he or his parents?" This question came from a belief that God punished people for sinning. In other words, they believed God goes around blinding the children of people who committed a sin completely unrelated to the consequence. Another example was seen when Jesus was entering a village of the Samaritans, and they did not accept Him. The disciples then assumed that they should "command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elijah did." How did Jesus respond to this?
55. "But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."
Satan is the Destroyer, who inspires the spirit of punishment, not God.
THE LAW OF WHAT?
This raises a very interesting question. If God's Law is in fact consequential like all other laws of science, then what is it the Law of? As in, the laws of thermodynamics refer to heat and energy, therefore what do the Ten Commandments refer to?
Do you know?
Although there may be many good answers to this question, there is one that the Bible makes very clear.........
VERSE #1
Matt 22:36. "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
37. Jesus said to them, 'You shall love the lord your god with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
38. This is the first and great commandment.
39. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'.
40. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

VERSE #2
John 14:15. "If you Love Me, keep My commandments. ...
21. He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."
____________________________________________________
VERSE #3
Rom 13:8. Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
9. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet,"and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
10. Love does no harm to a highborn: therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.____________________________________________________
VERSE #4
John 15:9 "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
10. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
11. "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
12. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.

VERSE #5
1Tim 1:5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.
____________________________________________________
VERSE #6
2Jn 1:6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
____________________________________________________
VERSE #7
1Jn 5:3 For this is the Love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
Is this not awesome? The Ten Commandments are the Laws of love that has been written on our hearts.
WHAT IS THE CONSEQUENCE OF BREAKING THE LAW OF LOVE?
So then what is the "consequence" of breaking the law of God?
Matt 24:12. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Powerful isn't it!
The consequence of breaking God's law is our hearts grow cold. God wants to write the Law of Love on our hearts, but when we break this law, the consequence is that instead of this powerful Law of love being able to give us a new heart, our heart grows cold.
HOW DOES THE LAW OF LOVE WORK?
Many times in the new testament, the 10 commandments are broken down to loving God and loving your neighbor. Obviously the first 4 pertain to loving God, while the last 6 refer to loving your neighbor. So the first question is how do we come to love God?
1Jn 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.
So God is the source of true love. He Gives it to us, so that we can Love Him back.
2Th 3:5 Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
Verse #4 is an excellent summary verse of both principals that the law is consequential and that true love starts with God...
John 15:9 "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
10. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
Notice the powerful principals revealed in this passage. God's love for us is unconditional. He is always loving us. But what is conditional? Whether we "abide" in His love. The word abide means to dwell, stand or remain. If we keep "My Father's commandments" we will dwell in true love, if we do not, we are stepping away or cutting ourselves off from the source of this Love.
This means that the first 4 commandments are about loving God back. So is it just this simple, we just have to love God? What about the last 6 commandments which refer to loving our neighbor? Can we love God if we don't love our neighbors?
If someone says, "I love God,"and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 1Jn 4:20
So here's a very simple breakdown of how it works. God loves us. We love Him back by keeping the first 4 commandments. This then empowers us to love our neighbors as ourselves. And why in this order? Because until we put God before our neighbor and have no other Gods before us we cannot love our neighbor unconditionally with true love. We will make them our gods, and depend on them to fulfill us as only God can. And because we are needy we cannot love unconditionally when they do not fulfill our needs. In turn we wind up hating them when they disappoint us.
Verse #3 is an excellent verse illustrating the importance of loving our neighbors...
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. Rom 13:8
Notice how it is by loving our neighbor that we "fulfill" the Law. Now this word "fulfill" is very significant. In Matt 5 Jesus said he came to fulfill the law. He did this by keeping it perfectly, so that He could become the sinless passover lamb to be sacrificed for our sins. And by doing this, released us from the penalty of sin which is death. Now what is significant is that most Christians take it one step farther by believing that because we have been released from the penalty, we do not have to keep the Law, and that the 10 commandments have also been done away with along with the book of the law. Now do you see the significance of this verse? We are to "fulfill" the law just as Jesus did by loving one another.
The 2 Extremes
Because it is impossible without the help of the Holy Spirit to comprehend how Law and love can co-exist, Christians usually tend to polarize in 2 different extremes. One sees it as impossible to combine law with love, and see laws as controlling. The rest go the direction of legalism, relying on rules and works as more important than the relationship itself. The rules literally become the relationship.
The interesting thing is that this problem existed since the very beginning of Christianity. Paul, at one point says "we are not justified by the works of the Law." Then James says "faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." Although these appear to be contradictions, upon closer study we can see that Paul was speaking to legalist Jewish Christians, while James was addressing liberal new converts who were hanging on to their old ways. The unfortunate thing is that today, legalistic Christians read the passages meant for the liberals and say "ah ah! there it is, we are saved by works." Liberal Christians read the passages meant for the legalists and say, "ah ah! works are completely irrelevant."
The challenge for both side is not to dig their heals in on their beliefs but to be as little children, open minded so that God can gradually teach us how to understand the true relationship between Law and Love.
Can A Christian Sin?
This question is very important when considering this topic, and is a pivotal point for many Christians on where to draw the line on works. It requires a fair amount of study and is discussed on the Repentance Page.
Keeping the Law In Spirit
I have heard many people say they keep the Law in Spirit, rather than in the letter. They are correct in that we are to keep the Law in Spirit. The Holy Spirit is what empowers us to keep the Law. Saddly though, most people feel that this means we are to keep it in some sort of a loose flexible manner, or to not keep it at all.
1Jn 3:24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
The truth is that if by keeping the Law in letter, our righteousness "excedes that of the pharisees" who kept the Law in letter.
THE GREAT TEMPTATION
To break down temptation to its simplest form, we can look at it like this. Sometimes the laws of science appear to be in conflict with the Law of Love. For instance, what happens if you don't have enough money for rent and food and you are presented with an opportunity to be dishonest in someway that is profitable. Or maybe you decide to work on the sabbath to make the extra money. Or even steal from God by not paying tithe. If we sin, it is because we are fearing the laws of science like the laws of biology that say we will starve if we can't buy food. Or the laws of thermodynamics that say we will freeze to death if we don't have a roof over our head. In other words, we are fearing the laws of science which God created rather than the God that created these laws.
Romans 1 lays out that if we worship the created things rather than the creator we will be given over to a debased mind. Well what has God created? Everything, including the laws of science. Is this what God means by these passages?
Does He actually expect us to follow the law of love first, even if when it comes in conflict with the other laws of science?
THE GREAT DECEPTION
Most people when they admit it, have the same simple goal. Deep down we all want love. There are endless paths that we journey though, believing that we are on the path leading to love. The ironic part is that most of these paths involve breaking the law of love.
In other words, Satan has convinced the world that in order to get love, we must break the law of love.
What does this mean? Are business owners loving their neighbor when they are clawing ahead, in the dog eat dog world? How many people today choose to justify breaking the law of love in order to keep or secure their jobs. The deception starts from the time we are children. The bad girls have more friends, the tuff guys get all the girls. Children are pressured to take drugs or even join gangs. Hollywood stars, are glorified. When we grow older, parents are tossed aside like in the animal kingdom, and what can only be a false version of love is pursued. A love that is more about power and respect, but yet only offers temporary fulfillment and usually comes at the expense of others. The very form of love that Lucifer desired in heaven, and the very reason God hates pride more than anything else.
Satan from the very beginning has been claiming that we can break God's Law without consequence. In the last days he will be performing great signs and wonders attempting to prove how he has trumped the laws of science. Although it may have appeared that Jesus broke laws of science when he performed miracles, He was merely enacting spiritual laws of science that we are not aware of. Those who are deceived by the signs and wonders of Satan will have their faith in God undermined.
God on the other has been performing miracles in our life that only the creator could perform Entertainment is filled with alluring presentations that the laws of science can be trumped as well as the Law of Love. These forms of entertainment make magical powers, or the ability to break the laws of science the ultimate gift. Love is presented as something that can be had only if one continually breaks the laws of love. So strong are the messages presented that they even take time to poke fun at those who would disagree.
OK, so is it true that God actually wants us to put His Law of Love absolutely first to the point of risking even our very own lives?

Lets take the example of Shadrak Mesh ak and Abednago. Here was the ultimate example of putting the Law of Love before the laws of thermodynamic!!
Conclusion: the Law of Love is the most powerful law of science, which is why its the only law of science that God wrote in stone with His own fingers.
- Now with the understanding that Love is a law of science, and that it overrules all other laws of science, read the following verse..
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1Jn 4:18
LOVE: The Common Denominator
The great struggle for mankind is accept that God loves us and actually wants us to love Him back. Many people gravitate to other beliefs systems or alter Christianity in such a way as to worship and learn about God without loving Him. The Christian world is dead right when they say you cannot keep the law. God says "if you love me, keep my commandments." The powerful point here is that if we do not love God, we CANNOT keep the commandments, we are incapable. And therefore, if we the Law of love is not written on our hearts, and we don't keep it, we don't love God. This is why Jesus said...
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Mat 6:24
If we love anything other than God, we will not be able to love God. In fact we will hate Him. Christianity today has been adapted to fit people who love money. God gave us many good things, but if we put them before God, we are loving them, instead of God. God wants us "seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and all these things shall be added to you." And not just in heaven. When we put God first, then for the first time we can truly enjoy the things of this world.
The natural human instinct is to want to get to know God, while avoiding the whole love concept. Now lets look at the endless analogies and statements God has placed in the Bible referring to the loving relationship He desires with us.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jer 31:33
God not only wants to write the law of love on our hearts, but it is His covenant with us. A covenant was what was made between a man and a women when they became betrothed or engaged. The Groom would go and prepare a dwelling for his bide, until his father determined he was ready to collect his bride. Jesus is returning for us "the bride of Christ" and "only the father in heaven knows" when He will return for us and take us to the "marriage supper of the Lamb" Bible Topics Main Page
